It is possible to add new fonts to Omber, but the process is different depending on which platform you are running Omber on:
On Android, each app manages its own fonts, so you must add new fonts specifically for Omber. To add a new font, go to the initial main file screen of Omber. Choose the "⋮" button in the upper-right, then choose "Manage fonts." A new screen should appear. Choose the "+" button in the upper-right of the screen. Then select the TrueType .ttf or OpenType .otf font file that you want to use in Omber. The font file will be copied into Omber, and you can then use the font in your drawings.
You can load your own .ttf and .otf TrueType and OpenType fonts into the web version of Omber by following these steps:
Omber directly uses the fonts that you have installed in Windows. To add a new font to Omber, simply install a new font in Windows. Then, restart Omber by exiting the program and starting it again. The new fonts should then appear.
Omber directly uses the fonts that you have installed on the Mac. To add a new font to Omber, simply install a new font in MacOS. Then, restart Omber by exiting the program and starting it again. The new fonts should then appear.
Although iOS 13 introduced a new feature that allows users to add their own custom fonts to their devices, this feature can be confusing to use, so Omber does not currently support these sorts of custom fonts. Instead, Omber lets users directly add font files into Omber.
To add a new font, go to the initial main file screen of Omber. Choose the "..." button in the upper-right, then choose "Manage Fonts." A new window should appear. Choose the "Add font file" button in the lower-left of that window. Then select the TrueType .ttf and OpenType .otf font files that you want to use in Omber. You can then use those fonts in your drawings.
